Advent assemblies were conducted in our school. The Advent wreath, is a Christian tradition that symbolizes the passage of the four weeks of Advent in the liturgical calendar.
It is an evergreen wreath with 3 purple candles which symbolise hope, peace and love, 1 pink candle which symbolises joy and 1 white candle in the centre which symbolises the birth of Christ.
Each candle was lit on every advent Monday with a special prayer service.
